Whoa, who saw that coming?! This week, Once Upon a Time finally revisited a part of Prince Charming’s backstory, the story of his father, which ended with an unexpected twist. Let’s talk about how Josh Dallas rocked this week’s episode and had a (well-deserved) breakdown. Hook was there to valiantly save the day and their bromance was strong until… well, it wasn’t. This week also prompted even more theorizing about the romance (or lack thereof) between Regina and Robin Hood. This show is setting up plenty of mysteries, and for better or for worse, we’re here to try to decode all of them. Plus, we talk about some news that might give hints about what OUAT has up its sleeves beyond this season.
Welcome back to a week of peddlers, eggs, and morally gray areas on Once Upon a Time. This week we finally find out just what Snow White and Prince Charming did to Maleficent, how Emma felt about it (spoiler: not great), and how much longer Regina can keep up her career in espionage. Also, weird confessions by Rumple, the revelation of Henry’s middle name and so much more. Listen to us discuss all of the finer points in this very tense OUAT episode.

This penultimate episode of Once Upon a Time season 4A had a bittersweet (and Titanic-esque) goodbye to the amazing Snow Queen, which means we also had to say a sad farewell to the fantastic Elizabeth Mitchell. Nonetheless, we were satisfied by her overall story (and refreshing redemption), and discuss some possible implications this might have on other villains (particularly Regina) in the overall Once Upon a Time storyline. Plus, we laughed, we cried, then we laughed some more at cursed!Regina, Snow and Charming… we wish we had the directors’ cut of that sequence! Join us for an anything-but-subtle podcast discussion of this episode.

The epic conclusion of the season finale is here! Emma is meeting people she realizes she may care for more than she thought, we learn the baby’s name (Britt was wrong), there’s a wedding, there’s love after a long journey, and it’s never really as easy for Regina as we all hope it will be.

Josh Dallas recently spoke to Buddy T.V. to talk about a variety of topics, including Snow and Charming’s relationship with their daughter, Emma.
On Emma’s acceptance of who she is and how that will change the family dynamic:
I think as far as Mary Margaret and David are concerned they always wanted to be her parents. They have always wanted to have that experience with her. And, Mary Margaret has always approached it differently than David. She’s always tried to push the subject and really try — “I want to be your mother. I want to do this. I want to try to make this right from this point on.”
Recently, tvfanatic.com asked Charming actor Josh Dallas just how bad the effects of the dream shade would be. We have a little of what Josh had to say:
“It’s going to be a long part of the journey. Of course, he’s going to be hit by the arrow, which is laced with Dream Shade! Dream Shade is a nasty, nasty, nasty deal. And he’s going to have a major secret on his hands that you’ll have to see whether he tells or not, whether he asks for help or not. […] This is the most concentrated form which we think would kill him quickly, but it works the opposite. So it’s a very slow, painful death, like cancer basically.”
To read everything he has to say about Dream Shade, Neverland, and suffering in silence, check out TV Fanatic’s entire interview.
