In which the Evil Queen roams around and conducts psychological warfare on the townspeople, including Regina. What else is new? Let’s talk about where season 6 is going so far and theorize a little bit about that mysterious hooded figure, the spoilery news about an upcoming arc, and the biggest mystery of the season: whether the Evil Queen will manage to flirt with everyone in Storybrooke before the season is over. Oh, and where is Belle living, anyways?
There are tons of familiar buildings and places for Once Upon a Time fans to see if they visit the real life “Storybrooke,” as I found out when I spoke with Ed from Visit Richmond BC at the Visitor’s Centre in downtown Steveston. In episode 45, I talked to Ed about the impact that ABC has had on the small fishing town of Steveston as well as what visitors to the town can expect. In episode 46, we walked around the town of Steveston and Ed pointed out some behind the scenes information about the Once Upon a Time filming that happens in their little town!
Welcome to Steveston
The first stop in Steveston was the Visitor’s Centre! This is where you can get all of the licensed Once Upon a Time merchandise, and a helpful map detailing all of the storefronts in town and the names of their Storybrooke counterparts.
Next up, Granny’s Diner (the Cannery Cafe in real life) which is near the Visitor’s Centre. (In between, there’s a tiny park that’s also been used in OUAT filming.)
As Storybrooke gets more and more chilly each week and as certain hearts nearly freeze ours warm up to this fun episode that featured an interesting flashback to Arendelle as well as intriguing new events taking place in Storybrooke. This week, we have an excited discussion about Snow Queens, reformed Evil Queens, Operation Mongoose and everything in between. Also, Amanda brings us part two of Welcome to Steveston with a behind-the-scenes audio tour of the stretch of Steveston, B.C. where Once Upon a Time films most of its Storybrooke street scenes.

“Kansas” transported us back to Oz where Zelena simply could not stop being a jealous troublemaker. We (briefly) met Dorothy, said hello to light magic-wielding Regina, had a beautiful Rumbelle moment that quickly turned sour and said a “wicked” goodbye. A lot happened in this episode and we attempted to break it all down and speculate what it might mean as we head into a our double-sized season finale next Sunday.
